With gorgeous weather in Phoenix year-round, it is the perfect place to get out of the house and venture into the city. From golfing to hiking and even annual events in North Phoenix, there are plenty of places to catch the Arizona sunshine.
Take a Hike
Did you know that Phoenix is home to some of the best hikes in the country? And some of these hiking spots are just a short drive from the gorgeous housing development known as Sky Crossing.
Located right off of the Carefree highway sits the Sonoran Preserve. This is a terrific spot for the whole family to hike. The Sonoran Preserve has three hiking trails totaling 36 miles of trail; the Desert Hills Trailhead, Desert Vista Trailhead, and Apache Wash Trailhead. These trails are open daily from 5 am to 11 pm.
Hit the Golf Course
Any day is always a perfect day to go golfing in Phoenix, especially since the city sees little rain throughout the year. There are a handful of beautiful courses throughout the valley, but one of the best is Lookout Mountain Golf Club. This is an award-winning course with 18-holes and amazing views of the desert landscape of Arizona.
Make sure to mark your calendar for fun events throughout 2021. It all starts in January when Scottsdale hosts the Barrett Jackson Collection Car Auction. The world-renowned event features hundreds of collectors and classic cars. Attendees can bid on the cars or just enjoy walking around to see them on display.
Just a few weeks later, Phoenix welcomes the Cactus League for Spring Training. During the month of March, 15 major league teams call Phoenix home, playing in over 200 games. The beauty of spring training? All of these games are within 45 minutes of each other, making it easy to enjoy football, food, and fun under the Arizona sunshine.
